Following on previous post discussing recipes from the east of nasi goreng,memorable cuisine from east ,now we will discuss about the asian culture that is about batik.Batik is a fabric which a picture of folk handicraft in most Asian countries.India,Ceylon,Japan,China and Indonesia have a batik history.There are allegations of batik originatif from India and Ceylon but there is an opinion that is a local native traditional craft.To remember ,there are areas that have tradition of batik but doesn’t include areas influenced by hinduism and budhism ,religion which was brought from India and Ceylon.For example Flores,Toraja and Halmahera in Indonesia.

Indonesian batik as a whole of techniques,technologies and development of culture-related motifs have been recognized and designated as a UNESCO as masterpiece of the oral and itangible heritage of humanity in September 2009. There are some city that became a center of batik productions in Java,Indonesia such as Solo,Yogyakarta,Pekalongan,Tegal,Banyumas and Banjarnegara.Here’s an example of one of the city of batik,batik banjarnegara.
